Beach: Bagry Wielkie – 5 km from Krakow Center
The “Bagry Wielkie” lake and beach is the perfect choice for you If you’re looking for a place where you can spend time by the water. Here you can safely swim, relax on a sandy beach, and engage in water sports.
The beach is very popular during summer, especially on weekends. This place offers many attractions for all age groups. Playgrounds for children, an outdoor gym, a park with hammocks, and of course the beach with a safe place to swim are among the things you find in there. Those who like water sports can rent kayaks and water bikes, or try water skiing and wakeboarding.

Harbor Brzegi – 10 km from Krakow Center
“Przystań Brzegi” lake has only been around for a few years! What is interesting, it used to be a gravel pit, and now the place has got some of the best sandy beaches around there. It is located between two water reservoirs, and is pleasantly shaded by trees.
But it’s not just about soaking up the sun and chilling on the sand. Przystań Brzegi has loads of activities for you to do. You can go kayaking, ride a water bike, or hop on a boat.

The entrance is free only for children under 3yo, and there is also a charge for the parking spot.

Kryspinów Lake – 12 km from Krakow Center
This lake is an ideal place for people who like water attractions and relaxation, and it has the most popular beaches among all the beaches in Krakow. The sandy beaches and safe waters attract many tourists in the summer. The place offers refreshing baths and closeness to nature.
The bathing resort was established on the site of a former sand mine – the sandpits were filled in, and now “Zalew Kryspinów” is one of the most popular places “by the water” in Krakow.

The entrance to Kryspinów Lagoon is with tickets, however kids under 6yo go free, and there are also special price plans for families. Parking spot is also paid. There are plenty of palaces to grab lunch in the nearby Budzyn. The swimming season is on throughout the summer and there is a lifeguard 7 days a week.

Balaton in Trzebinia – 50 km From Krakow Center
This is a kind of complex that includes a sandy beach and 3 safe pools with lifeguard supervision, and a shaded paddling pool for toddlers.
At the unguarded part of the bathing area, there are plenty of trees that provide pleasant shade, and it’s easy to find a spot to lay out a blanket, have a picnic, and enjoy a family day out. The place, apart from the lake, offers many other activities, like hiking, an adventure rope park, or the zip line stretched over the lake.
The entrance to the bathing area is paid, which helps keep the area well-maintained and clean, with access to toilets, changing rooms, and diaper-changing facilities.

Balaton is located in Trzebnia, nearly 50 km away from Krakow, so you would need a car to get there from Krakow.

Balaton is not free, however, the ticket price is rather symbolic, as it is less than 10 PLN per adult. Apart from swimming and relaxing by the water, you can also buy a fishing license and fish in the crystal waters of the lake.
Chechlo in Trzebinia – 50 km From Krakow Center
There is another dam in Trzebinia, it is called Chechlo. Part of the body of water was modernized and adopted for tourists, whereas the rest of it is left untouched, and it is a great place to watch wildlife. Come here for a swim and for sunbathing. You can also take advantage of the many sports activities.

Łapanów Lake – 40 km From Krakow Center
This is another place where you can enjoy a guarded bathing area with three pools of varying depths. A water slide, kayaks, and water bikes, sun loungers, umbrellas, a sandy artificial beach, a beach volleyball court, are also available in this resort.
If you wish to stay longer in Lapanów, you can use the on-site accommodation. The place is a sports complex, and it is equipped with a running track, a tennis court, basketball, and volleyball courts, and a playground for the youngest.
How to get there?
Since this resort is located about 45 km away from Krakow, again you will need a car to get there. However, a comfortable parking place is available for you on the site.
