{"id":2305,"date":"2023-01-24T11:49:04","date_gmt":"2023-01-24T11:49:04","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/?p=2305"},"modified":"2023-09-04T13:13:47","modified_gmt":"2023-09-04T13:13:47","slug":"best-city-in-poland","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/best-city-in-poland","title":{"rendered":"What&#8217;s The Best City In Poland?"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>If you are traveling to Poland or you are looking for the best cities to live in Poland, you may be surprised that there are almost 1000 cities to choose from!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Even though Poland isn&#8217;t the biggest country in the world, there are many amazing Polish cities that are worth discovering. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>For some nationalities, especially Americans, Australians, or Canadians, the size of the cities in Poland may be <a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/funny-polish-words-phrases\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">funny<\/a>. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The largest Polish city (when it comes to the number of inhabitants) is Warsaw, the capital, with 1.765 million citizens. Poland&#8217;s smallest city is Opatowiec with just&#8230; 313 <a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/pros-and-cons-of-living-in-poland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">people living there<\/a>!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In this article, I will try to answer the question of what is the best city in Poland. The famous St Martins croissants (rogale \u015bwi\u0119tomarci\u0144skie) filled with white poppy seeds, originate from Pozna\u0144.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>I love Pozna\u0144! After visiting 50+ countries in the world, I still think Poland is one of the best places to live!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s very easy to find cafe with stable WiFi, the prices are relatively low, the weather is always interesting (we have all 4 seasons of the year), and it&#8217;s not difficult to communicate in English when in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s hard to give you a simple answer to the question about what&#8217;s the best city to live in Poland. It&#8217;s also the city with one of the highest traffic in Poland. As a Pole born and raised in Poland, I&#8217;ve never wanted to live in Warsaw. I have friends who live there and love it and friends who moved back to their hometowns because they were too tired of the hustle and bustle of the Polish capital city.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>best things about Warsaw<\/strong> are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>many cultural and sports events going on every day<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>the international airport that makes it easy to see the entire Europe; <a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/how-long-is-the-flight-to-poland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">flights<\/a> are <a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/is-poland-cheap\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">cheap<\/a> and it&#8217;s doable to fly on a city break to a different place every <a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/weekend-in-warsaw\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">weekend<\/a><\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>it&#8217;s safe<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>public transportation is one of the best in Poland, Warsaw is the only city with metro (subway)<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>it&#8217;s located in the heart of Poland, so you can get anywhere in the country in less than 5 hours<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>there are many job opportunities for foreigners<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>cons of living in Warsaw<\/strong>:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>high traffic<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>hustle and bustle of the big city<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Torun\"><\/span>Toru\u0144<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"682\" src=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/torun-3711032_1280-1024x682.jpg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1110\" srcset=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/torun-3711032_1280-1024x682.jpg 1024w, https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/torun-3711032_1280-300x200.jpg 300w, https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/torun-3711032_1280-768x512.jpg 768w, https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2020\/08\/torun-3711032_1280.jpg 1280w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>In this rank, Toru\u0144 won the second place. If I had to choose between Warsaw and Toru\u0144, I&#8217;d chose Toru\u0144 for sure!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The size of this city is perfect- it&#8217;s not too small and not too big. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.torun.pl\/pl\/miasto\/jak-mieszkac-w-toruniu#:~:text=Toru%C5%84%20jest%20wymieniony%20w%20raporcie,w%20kt%C3%B3rych%20%C5%BCyje%20si%C4%99%20najlepiej.&amp;text=w%20latach%202007%2D2011%20(w,nawiasie%20pozycja%20w%202011%20r.)&amp;text=Ze%20wska%C5%BAnikiem%20og%C3%B3lnej%20jako%C5%9Bci%20%C5%BCycia,Krakowem%20(0%2C36).\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener nofollow\">Based on a survey of residents<\/a>, Toru\u0144 is one of the best cities to live in Poland, when it comes to mental and physical well-being.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Toru\u0144 is located in Northern Poland, halfway between Warsaw and Gda\u0144sk.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Zielona_Gora\"><\/span>Zielona G\u00f3ra<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h2>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-large\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"1024\" height=\"614\" src=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/zielona-gora-1024x614.jpeg\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-2323\" srcset=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/zielona-gora-1024x614.jpeg 1024w, https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/zielona-gora-300x180.jpeg 300w, https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/zielona-gora-768x460.jpeg 768w, https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/01\/zielona-gora.jpeg 1200w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1024px) 100vw, 1024px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>The name of this city literally means &#8220;The Green Mountain&#8221; and it says it all!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Zielona G\u00f3ra is one of the largest cities in Poland but it&#8217;s not covered with skyscrappers. The city is located very close to the border with Germany in central-west Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It may be a green and beautiful city but if you want to<a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/getting-around-poland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\"> travel around<\/a>, you may be disappointed. The airport in Zielona G\u00f3ra is not well-connected with other cities in Europe.<br><\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\"><span class=\"ez-toc-section\" id=\"Rzeszow\"><\/span>Rzesz\u00f3w<span class=\"ez-toc-section-end\"><\/span><\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p>My hometown! I made a concious choice to live here and I love it!<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The size of Rzesz\u00f3w is perfect. You have all the facilities of the city and the feeling of the countryside.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Rzesz\u00f3w is less than 1,5h drive from Krak\u00f3w and close to the beautiful <a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/castle-lancut-things-to-do\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Lancut castle<\/a> and the <a href=\"https:\/\/travelpolandtours.com\/bieszczady-mountains-poland\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">Bieszczady Mountains<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>It&#8217;s also the largest Polish city close to Ukraine. In the past, I&#8217;d say it&#8217;s great because you can go on a city break to Lviv. Today I am saying it&#8217;s great because it&#8217;s the best-protected city in Poland.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>There are many Polish and American soldiers watching the city 24\/7, so it&#8217;s really safe in here right now.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The other places that have made it to the list of the best cities to live in Poland are:<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ul>\n<li>Krak\u00f3w<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Pozna\u0144<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Wroc\u0142aw<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Gda\u0144sk<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Bielsko-Bia\u0142a<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Olsztyn<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Koszalin<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li>Lublin<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<p>I&#8217;ve written about most of them earlier in the text.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>So&#8230; what&#8217;s the best city in Poland?<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In my subjective opinion it&#8217;s <strong>Krak\u00f3w<\/strong>.
